Cooperation BEST
Through the cooperative efforts of businesses, schools and the community, the mission of Cooperation BEST is to provide students with the skills they need to be productive, responsible citizens. Both PLSHS students and teachers benefit from being involved in the Cooperation BEST program.
Students are exposed to additional positive role models, become more informed consumers, learn about various possible career choices and develop a more positive attitude toward the community.
Teachers can incorporate how classroom learning can translate to real world, develop a heightened motivation for learning and provide students with a chance to become more involved in their community.
Featured Partner: COX Communications
Torri Pantaleon from Cox Communications has been working closely with the broadcast journalism class to help them better their reporting skills. He made numerous visits to the class this semester, which included lessons on how to create a broadcast package and a critique of the class' first "Titan View" show. Cox and the City of Papillion aired the show on PapioVision, which occupies Cox channel 18.
