Foreign Language Department Mission Statement
The Foreign Language Department seeks to develop students' understanding and appreciation of, as well as active engagement with, foreign languages, literatures, and cultures.
The four-year programs in French, German and Spanish enable students to lay the groundwork for fluency, to enhance practical language skills, and to develop an understanding of global culture in order to excel in a variety of careers and intellectual disciplines as a well-rounded individual.
