Who Are We and What Do We Do?
The T.A.C.T. Team is Papillion-La Vista South's Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). The mission of the team is to support PL South in developing every student to his or her optimal potential in scholastic and extracurricular activities. In simpler terms that means that T.A.C.T. members are working to build up programs at the school and to provide financial support toward the purchase of needed equipment and supplies. Over the past four years, T.A.C.T. has provided seed monies to Fine Arts, Athletics and Post Prom and spends $3,500 annually to purchase planners for every student. In addition, over the next two years we will be raising funds to build an outdoor electronic school sign to advertise upcoming events.
T.A.C.T. is organized into three branches - the Student Body Branch, the Fine Arts Branch, and the Athletic Branch. Within the branches of T.A.C.T. there are a few parent booster organizations whose mission is to support the activities of a particular program. While some of these booster organizations raise funds in support of their particular program exclusively, they also benefit from being members of and taking part in activities sponsored by the T.A.C.T. team.
Are you one of us? Would you like to make a difference in the lives of our students? We welcome you with open arms!! Annual dues are $20/year. Lifetime memberships are available for $100. Remember that all monies earned by T.A.C.T. (both membership and fundraising efforts) are distributed amongst the three branches, to the direct benefit of all of our children.
Remember when our students were young and we were able to be involved
in so many of their activities? As they have gotten older our opportunities
to be involved in supporting their activities seem to be fewer and fewer.
