Graduation Comes Early For Some
Paige Jones

The anticipation for school to end can be agonizing to seniors. To cope with this, some students acceptingly undergo this torture and wait for graduation. But other students decide to wind down the school year early by graduating at semester.
Seniors are able to part with the school early, but for some students it’s not early enough.
“I’m glad to graduate at semester so I can finally get out of school,” senior Zachary Ellis said.
It may seem like a great idea to some students, but most seniors decide to complete their year and graduate with the rest of their class. Even with this being the case, the reactions from some seniors not graduating at mid-year are understandable.
“Some of my friends are jealous that I’m graduating before them,” senior Buna Wurok said.
It wasn’t completely easy for these 13 early graduates to actually graduate without the proper credits.
“I had to take two English classes to get all the credits I needed in able to graduate at semester,” Ellis said.
Some students had to do extra work within the school.
“I took summer school so I could complete the work I needed to graduate early,” Wurok said.
Although graduating early may not be a walk in the park, some seniors believe that it’s worth it.
“I plan to start working after I graduate at semester and save up for college,” Wurok said.
