PL SouthWeb Site Information

PLSHS Online

Mission

The mission of the PL South web site is to deliver current and up-to-date information on demand to Papillion - La Vista South students, parents, and community members.

Template Updates

Our web site uses templates to keep a consist ant look and feel on all pages. We are currently crossing over to the third version of the PLSHS web site template as of summer 2007. Not all the pages in our site have been converted yet but they will be soon. In the process of updating, some pages may have been changed, moved, or deleted. If you notice any mistakes we've made, please contact Lisa Alfrey.

Template Revisions

  • Version 1

    Created: Fall 2003

The original PLSHS web page was designed during the fall of 2003 just after the building opened. This template was used for about a year. It was revised just a few times, including a conversion to ASP VBScript.

  • Version 2

    Created: Fall 2004

The second PLSHS template was a complete overhaul of the original, although many of the existing elements were implemented, including the drop down menus, the layout of the weekly schedule, and others.

  • Version 3

    Created: Summer 2007

The third version is just an update of the second. The key difference is that the new version uses valid XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS. The layout has been updated using html layers, as opposed to the old method of html tables. The site now uses standard markup for accessibility and cross browser/platform compatibility.

    Designing Pages

If you are designing a page for the PLSHS web site, you must use the current version of the official PLSHS web template. Please contact Lisa Alfrey for more information and assistance in creating pages for the PLSHS web site.

    Fonts and Colors
