Dr. Enid SchonewiseDr. Enid Schonewise is the Principal of Papillion-La Vista South. She comes to Papillion La Vista South with district experience, in fact since 1997 she has been the assistant principal in charge of curriculum and instruction at Papillion-La Vista High School. Before coming to Papillion, Dr. Schonewise taught high school social studies for Omaha Public Schools. She received her master's and doctorate from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She received her undergrad from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. |
Mr. Jeff JohnsonMr. Jeff Johnson is the Assistant Principal/Activities Director. He came to Papillion-La Vista South from Grand Island High School, where he was the Assistant Principal/Activities Director since 1998. Mr. Johnson was also an Assistant Principal at Norfolk Senior High from 1996-1998. He also taught high school biology and English at Plainview Public Schools from 1989-1996. Mr. Johnson received his masters in secondary administration from Wayne State College. He received his undergrad degree in Biology/English from Doane College. Mr. James LarsonMr. James Larson is also one of the Assistant Principals at Papillion-La Vista South. He came to the district from Holdrege, Nebraska where he most recently served as middle school principal there. He had been in Holdrege for 13 years as an administrator and counselor. He is a graduate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with an undergraduate degree. He received his masters in counseling from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 1986 and his masters in school administration from UNK in 2000. |
Mr. Brett GrellMr. Brett Grell is Dean of Students and 11 th Grade Administrator at Papillion-La Vista South. He took on this role in January of 2010 after serving as an English teacher at PLSHS for the previous six years. He came to the district from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he served as Head of Humanities at Neuva Esperanza Academy Charter High School. He is a graduate of Knox College with undergraduate degrees in English and Secondary Education. He received his masters in secondary administration from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 2008. |

Mrs. Kati SettlesMs. Kati Settles is one of the Assistant Principals at Papillion-La Vista South High School. Ms. Settles came to Papillion-La Vista South in 2003 after teaching Special Education at Papillion-La Vista High School. She was the Special Education Department Head at PLSHS for six years prior to moving to the Assistant Principal role. Ms. Settles received her masters in secondary administration from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. She received her undergraduate degree from Wayne State College in K-12 Special Education and Speech Communications.
